On February 26, 2024, China TRANSINFO Technology Co., Ltd. (CTFO, referred to as "TRANSINFO Technology" hereinafter) and China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC, referred to as "CMEC" hereinafter) jointly signed a cooperation agreement on the "Uzbekistan A380 Highway Intelligent Transportation Project" with the Uzbekistan National Transportation Ministry Road Committee in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.

  • The signing ceremony was held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.

Located in the Kungeler district of Uzbekistan, the A380 Highway is currently the highest standard-grade highway being constructed in the country, spanning a total length of 240 kilometers. As a key component of the economic corridor in Central Asia, the A380 Highway not only serves as a critical transportation artery connecting the main urban areas with the rural suburbs of Uzbekistan but also acts as an international channel for the country to access Kazakhstan and the Caspian Sea region. It completes the last missing link of the economic corridor 2 in Central Asia, which includes Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and China, playing a significant role in promoting economic development in the regions along the corridor.

The Uzbekistan A380 Highway Intelligent Transportation Project is an EPC general contracting project, won by the joint bid of the TRANSINFO Technology and CMEC consortium, which is responsible for the comprehensive planning, design, software development and operation, hardware supply and installation of the intelligent transportation system of the A380 Highway. By introducing TRANSINFO Technology's advanced intelligent transportation products and technical services, the informatization management level, traffic safety index, and traffic capacity of the Uzbekistan A380 Highway will be significantly improved, laying a solid foundation for the comprehensive improvement of local transportation conditions.

As one of the earliest private enterprises to enter the field of high-speed informatization in China, TRANSINFO Technology continues to expand its mature products and services, which cover the entire life cycle of highways, including "construction, management, maintenance, operation, and service," to overseas markets. This successful signing marks TRANSINFO Technology's first entry into the Central Asian market, signifying another solid step in the company's strategic layout in the international market.

Previously, TRANSINFO Technology has participated in the construction of several key transportation projects in regions such as South Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, and Africa, including the Dhaka Expressway project in Bangladesh, the Banja Luka-Bap Highway project in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Danube Corridor Expressway project in Serbia, the Valjevo Expressway project in Serbia, and the Angola Luanda New International Airport project.
